Piripi has over 28 years of experience as an educator and 18 years experience in school management and governance. He is currently Chairperson of the board of trustees at Rutherford Junior High School.

Piripi combines his leadership abilities and passion for Māoritanga in order to provide “the best example of a Māori male role model that I can possibly be in the roles, responsibilities and influences I have upon others’ lives”.
